"Beyeler Restaurant im Park"
The "Beyeler Restaurant im Park" opens under a new name. The Spanish design studio Casa Muñoz has designed the guest rooms of the Berower Villa including the restaurant and fireplace room in such a way that a stimulating dialogue develops between the historical character of the house and the contemporary interior design. Under the new management of Helen Dienel, the culinary concept has also been revamped.
The cuisine of the restaurant draws from the richness of its surroundings. The menu gives guests the opportunity to discover old and new favourite dishes. A large selection of cakes is available to accompany coffee, which is prepared in barista quality. The wine list is based on the surrounding area, but also offers a good selection of wines from the regions from the rest of Europe.
Evening opening for Friday Beyeler
The best way to start the weekend is at the Beyeler Restaurant im Park, sampling its superior range of drinks and delicacies. The restaurant is open until 10 p.m. during the Friday Beyeler events from mid-September to December, serving on-trend and classic cocktails, and sparkling wines from the region, in the cozy ambience of the fireside lounge.
For the hungry as well as the thirsty, there is a variety of sharing dishes, specially created for these evenings, with vegetarian, vegan and meat-based options, which can be enjoyed individually as a snack or combined into a full meal. Together with the multifaceted Friday Beyeler program in the museum, the restaurant offers a perfect occasion for inspiring encounters and stimulating exchanges, creating a symbiosis of art and cuisine.

Overlooking the sculptures
The villa in Berower Park, overlooking the sculptures of Ellsworth Kelly and Alexander Calder, was the starting point for the design concept.
The dining room
The jute-covered walls, a tribute to the original use of the villa as a summer house, are painted in the dining room with lime white paint and in the fireplace room in light lime green, which ensures a homely atmosphere and good acoustics.
The fireplace room
In addition to the design, the design concept also focused on the usage possibilities. In the fireplace room, through which guests will enter the restaurant in the future, a flexibly positioned bar designed by Casa Muñoz, acts as a central visual element. It is clad in copper pipes and covered with a black and white grained marble. In summer, the garden continues to provide an inviting atmosphere for eating and lingering.
Wall of books and editions
The central element is a variable wall of books and editions, which serves as a showcase for Fondation Beyeler’s exhibition catalogues, literature and artist editions, accompanying the museum's exhibition programme.
